I liked the history I felt in the hotel. The location was wonderful.
The breakfast at the restaurant downstairs was awful. Bad food..and slow service.
The Location was perfect. Close to my conference venue. Very close to the metro Light Rail. I love the ambiance - the fact that it is an old historical building - where stars like Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable, Mae West, stayed. The staff were very friendly and helpful and moved me to a room with more quiet neighbours.
hotel is in Phoenix downtown. It was very close to our meeting place.
I loved the charm of the hotel. Built in the early 1900's, but still nice, clean and very conveniently located to town, food, activities and convention center.
Close to Convention Center
Poor quality of rooms, poor customer service at the front desk when checking in. Looks run down instead of historic.
The location was great for downtown Phoenix and the Ball park. It was a pleasant change from the typical "box" roomed chain hotels, with a bit of style and history.
It was small and not worth the money at all!! Our hot water didn't even work!
the location was convenient. the staff was very helpful.
We did not control our environment of our hotel room. t\They did not have the AC on, the window didn't open, we had a ceiling fan. Each room did not control cooling or heating. I've had bigger rooms in NYC and Europe.
The history and the fact that movie stars stayed at the hotel.
Loved the historical nature of the hotel, staff was fantastic and location in downtown Phoenix. In walking distance to the Convention Center, nice bistro downstairs and only 15 minute cab ride from the airport - loved it - I will go back.
A little run-down. old building, old decor. lot's of peeling paint and broken stuff. The elevator is from 1920-something. But it was ok.
The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. It was comfortable and beds were clean and comfortable. Close to Chase Field and the Lite Rail
Very clean, lots of pillows, tastfully decorated, well maintained, rooms don't smell
Noise from the hall is easily heard in the rooms, elevator tends to break down regualrly.
The staff were great and it was nice to be in a historic place. It was very convenient for the concert and staff were gracious about the valet parking.
The elevators were not working and the stairs were steep and narrow.
Room was in center of Phoenix near everything and walking distance to Chase Field and other attractions. I booked the room not to have to drive back to Tonopah after the baseball game.
No complaints, Hotel is old and historic, built in 1928 with stars that visited back then was Mae West, Marylin Monroe and Clark Gable.
